I have been buying these wine frigs instead of a regular mini frig for my office at work for several years now. They have more useable space than a mini frig and this one is the best one I've had yet. This one has flat metal shelves in it instead of curved so it works great for pop and water. The temp gets a little cooler than the normal wine frig but it won't get so cold that it freezes stuff---very very satisfied---oh yeah and it looks so much nicer than a mini frig too
Great cooler for the price.
Received three days faster than projected. No damage. Very flexable, wine bottles on top and cans and bottled beer on the bottom. Very pleased. Works great.
This unit works great for me it's compact holds 17 bottles keeps my wine at just the temp I want it looks nice for me I have had absolutely no issues with my unit at all and it was shipped on time and is well protected in the box
All black exterior looks great. Quiet. Maintains a stable temperature (our last wine fridge did not). Have only had it for a short time but has met our expectations on looks and performance so far.
Needed to replace my 11 yr old wine cooler and found they're now made with thermoelectric tech. (NO compressor for the smaller size units). So was thrilled to find this one. Despite the temp. dial in an awkward place --it is much quieter than my original, course its one third the size! Hope it lasts as well. . . .
Purchased as a replacement for the same model that lasted over 8 years. Good value for the price.
this is my second Danby wine cooler. Had the first one about 10 years. This one is good but you cannot raise the temperature above 57 degrees. Red wine should not be stored below 57 degrees and not above 65.
I have two of these units and am happy with them. The compressor does make some noise when operating, but I did not expect a perfectly quiet fridge for this price point, and the noise is not objectionably loud. I also bought an inexpensive fridge thermometer that I put in different places inside the coolers while I adjusted the temperature controls since I wanted one unit colder than the other. I would recommend this fridge to others, but strongly advise you to have it shipped to a store so that you can inspect it before you pay for it and take it home. The packaging does little to protect the cooler from damage during shipping. The cooler is inside a thin cardboard box and sits on a thin piece of Styrofoam with an even thinner piece of foam in front of the glass door. That's all the protection there is. I bought two units originally, and took them home without properly inspecting them. One of them had taken a hard hit and the door was broken and the frame bent. I returned it without a problem and ordered a replacement. The replacement unit also arrived damaged, it had been hit on the back side, hard enough to leave a substantial dent in the metal. I returned that one also. The fourth one I ordered arrived OK. So I had to order four units to get two good ones – not a great record. It is easy to inspect them in the store – if the plastic straps around the box are loose enough, you can just slide them off the box, but you might need to cut one of the straps; the top of the box is not attached to the bottom of the box, so you just lift it straight off and there is the cooler. No need to rip the box or anything. The reason to slide the straps off instead of cutting them is that since the top of the box is not attached to the bottom, when you put the top back on you can slide the straps back in place so you can move it easily.
It's more a regular fridge, I found it cold for the wine. I set it up very low. When it start and stop it make a big noise.
